Chris Galust, a former electrician turned actor, was discovered in a bakery buying a cake for his Russian grandfather, and has since earned acting nominations at the Independent Spirit Awards and Gotham Film Awards.
The newcomer has been called a 'natural' by Variety for his performance as the enigmatic Vic in Kirill Mikhanovsky's comedy drama Give Me Liberty. Brooklyn born Galust, who has no formal training, is now working on two indie films (Castle Freak and The Prince of Soho).
